Relay for Life Chance Drawing

Good morning!

I wanted to share pictures of the blanket that my mom crocheted for a chance drawing for Relay for Life.  Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.  All proceeds go to Relay for Life, the signature fund-raising event for the American Cancer Society.  Please let me know if you would like to purchase some and help find a cure.  If you would like to make a donation go to my fund-raising page.  All donations are greatly appreciated!

Cradle to College!

I know, I know.  How ironic that in my last post I said how excited I was that I blogged everyday and now I haven't blogged in almost a month!

However, I have good reasons!  I've been super busy trying to get well (another doctor's appointment tomorrow), keeping up with my "real" job, filling orders, and trying to get ready for the Cradle to College Expo.  I'm thrilled to be a vendor at Lake County's largest children's consignment event and expo being held March 3-5.  If you are in the area and are in the market for gently used baby/kid stuff at a great price and for a great cause you should swing by the website and register.  Tell them Hooked On Adorable sent you! :)

Wow, so far I've blogged everyday!  But then again, it's only been three days...

Anyway, I just came from my facebook page where I have 260 fans!  I'm so honored that 260 people like my stuff enough to click "like"!  However, I am a sucker for nice rounded numbers so I am looking forward to hitting 300.  As I said on my facebook page, whenever we do hit 300 fans I will be giving out a coupon code for 15% off at my Etsy shop exclusively for my facebook fans.  If you are like me you loveeee saving money, so let's help each other out!  Go invite your friends and family to my blog and my facebook page and help us reach 300 fans.  And once we do I'll send some savings your way!

Whoooo's There?

This afternoon I am finishing up two owl beanies.  The owl beanie has become one of my favorite hats because it is just so darn cute!  I received an order for another pink owl (slightly different than the one pictured) and a blue owl.  I'm excited to try a new color combination!  I'll be sure to post pictures when I am finished with them, but until then here are a few pics of the owls I have already made.

Hello there blogging world!

One of my New Year's Resolutions was to start a blog for my business, so here I go!

First a little about me...
My name is Jenni and I am married to an amazing man named Josh.  We have two furbabies named Callie and Cassie.  I have been teaching second grade for four years.  I learned how to crochet last summer and I've been "hooked" ever since. 

Now, A little about my business...

My Mission: 
It is my goal to offer hats and accessories that are as adorable as they are practical.  Why not keep your head warm in style?

How it all began:
Growing up my mom would crochet baby blankets to give as gifts and I always wanted to learn, but I just hadn’t taken the time to learn. Once I started seeing all of the adorable hats, baby cocoons, scarves, etc. that people were crocheting I realized that it was so much more than just baby blankets! So, once school let out for the summer my mom taught me the basics and away I went! After I spent most of the summer making a baby blanket for my future baby I found a pattern for a hat and made it. After I had started posting pictures of what I had made on Facebook people were asking me about purchasing things! I was happy to oblige and I made a few more things. Word spread and more and more people were interested with every new picture I posted, so I decided it was time to make it official and I started a fan page on Facebook and then an Etsy shop.

What I offer: 
I offer hats for all ages and sizes from newborn to adult.  I make basic beanies, newsboys, newsgirls, and animal beanies including monkeys, owls, penguins, raccoons, rabbits, and my newest animal addition a dinosaur complete with spikes and a tail! 
I also offer cocoons, nests/bowls and hanging stork pouches for those adorable newborn pictures.  I recently added an adorable little purse and I'm looking forward to adding additional sizes soon.  I’m always open to suggestions and I would love to customize an item just for you.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas and I would be more than happy to give them a try!
